In recent years spin-orbit coupling driven effects have garnered strong interest especially in the field of spintronics and spin orbitronics, because of their modern-day application viz. in electronic devices, quantum magnetism, quantum transport etc. The motivation of this conference is to focus on the very recent theoretical and computational developments related to the role of spin-orbit interaction in bulk, surfaces and interfaces, in thin films and the heterostructures. We plan to have dedicated session on the topological insulators, Rashba Dresellhaus effect, exotic magnetic materials and spin transport behaviour.
The proposed conference will last for 5 days (starting Monday Nov. 11th to Friday Nov. 15th 2024), consisting of first two days of workshop and three more days of invited/plenary lectures. It will have two dedicated poster sessions. While the main focus will be on "ab - initio" simulations, a few leading experimentalists will be invited.
Posters should be no larger than 34 inches (width) x 46 inches (height).
