Engagement Framework with IIT Bombay


  1. Module A – Customized Courses
    • Tailored capsule courses as per company requirements
    • Can be conducted on-site or at IIT Bombay

  2. Module B – Equipment & Testing
    • Access to IIT Bombay’s advanced testing facilities
    • Examples: Gleeble, creep property studies, simulation software
    • Charged as per IIT norms

  3. Module C – Mathematical Modelling
    • Development of process-specific mathematical models
    • Offline use for troubleshooting & process improvement

  4. Module D – Project-Based Interaction
    • Mode I: Retainership – Faculty engaged for ongoing technical discussions
    • Mode II: M.Tech Research – Plant problem taken up by an M.Tech student
    • Mode III: PhD Research – Plant problem addressed through doctoral research
    • Mode IV: Faculty + Technical Assistant – Targeted problem-solving within 6–9 months

  5. Module E – Consolidated Technical Agreement
    • Comprehensive bouquet of services (Modules A–D)
    • Includes: customized courses, technical discussions, manpower/process assessment
    • Preferred duration: 3 years (though 1 year also possible)

    Collaborations:

    1. IIT Bombay – JSW Technical Hub :
      • Year I concluded successfully with a ₹2.2 Cr grant, awaiting the next funding tranche.
      • JSW allocated ₹16 Cr for building construction.
