
Prof. Jayasree Biswas
Assistant Professor, IIT Bombay
Prof. Jayasree Biswas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science at IIT Bombay, a position she has held since February 2024. Her research interests include high-temperature kinetic studies, metal recycling from secondary sources, green metal processing, and metal refining. Before joining IIT Bombay, Prof. Biswas was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University in Finland from February 2022 to December 2023. She earned a Ph.D. in Process Metallurgy from McMaster University in Canada in 2021. Additionally, she worked as a Researcher at Tata Research Design and Development Centre (TRDDC), TCS Innovations Lab in Pune, India, from July 2015 to December 2017. Prof. Biswas also holds an M.Tech. in Process Engineering from IIT Bombay (2015) and a B.E. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Jadavpur University (2013)
